Violet Street, died Nov. 19, 1992 at
Mercy Nursing Care Center.  Born
July 31, 1916, in Johnstown, son of 
Winter O. and Rachel (DeArmey)
Wendel.  Preceded in death by par-
ents; brothers, David and Wilbur; and
sister, Betty Fox. Survived by wife,
former June M. Adams; and these
children: Lois, Columbia Md; T. Wil-
liam, Woodbridge, Va; James B., 
married to former Carol McIntyre,
Annandale, Va.; and Daniel, married 
to former Cecelia McCarthy, Mount 
Ranier, Md.; also 13 grandchildren and these
brothers and sisters: Dorothy Beegle,
Johnstown, Don Boswell; Audrey
Sedel, Salix; and Lois Kaufman,
Johnstown.  Co-owner of Wendel Alu-
minum Company.  Dorm supervisor at 
Hiram G. Andrews Center.  Friends
received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
friday at John Henderson Co. Funer-
al Home.  Mass of Christian Burial at
9 a.m. Saturday at St. Clement's Cath-
olic Church, the Rev. Msgr. William
Shultz.  Interment, St. Mary's Church 
Cemetery.  Prayer service at 3 p.m.
